Obituary of Walter Wenzel

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter Melvin Wenzel, Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on March 23, 2024 at the age of 79 years.

Walt is survived by: his loving wife of 54 years, Judy Wenzel; his two sons, Dean (Kris) Wenzel and Craig (Seanna) Wenzel; four grandchildren, Owen Wenzel, Rhett (Danton) Brooks, Jensen Wenzel and Ryanne Wenzel; two great-grandchildren,  Riot Wenzel and Nolan Brooks; two siblings, Alice (Bill) Kloeckes and Earl (Fran) Wenzel; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Borysko and Gloria (Ron) Barton; three brothers-in-law, Bill (Bernice) Bilous, Phil (Clarice) Bilous and Orest (Sharon) Bilous; and numerous other relatives.

The Memorial Service for Walter will be conducted from McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 1:00 PM. If you are unable to attend in person, you may view the live streaming of the service  posted on McCaw Funeral Service website under Walter's obituary at the time of service.

Donations in memory of Walter may be made to Stars Air Ambulance (Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service) or Lloydminster Rescue Squad.

The Wenzel Family would like to thank everyone who supported us by way of cards, flowers, food, phone calls and donations in Walt’s memory. Thanks to everybody that attended his memorial service, and those that viewed online celebrating Walt’s life. Thank you to Pastor Doug Bayton for making the service extra special. Thank you to the ambulance attendants, fire department, RCMP and hospital staff for their prompt and excellent care. Thank you to Bonnie for your compassion and to Rolling Green Fairways for the wonderful lunch.
